At Links Psychology we continue to offer face to face and telehealth (phone or video call) appointments during the current restrictions.  Leaving your home to attend counselling (outside your 5 Km radius) is permitted under the current restrictions.

The Australian Government has announced in the latest budget that the number of Medicare sessions accessible under the GP Mental Health Care Plan/Better Access Scheme will be extended from 10 to 20 rebated sessions for all Australians even outside of those under current COVID-19 restrictions.

    Career Management

    At Links Psychology our approach to career management draws on expertise in a range of disciplines including vocational assessment, human resource development, and life coaching and change management.

    Counselling is a type of individual therapy that helps clients deal with psychological issues. Psychologists use professional listening skills, therapeutic dialogue and expert insight to explore solutions with clients. We offer a range of psychological and counselling services including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy and group workshops and seminars.

    Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

    Links Psychology EAP’s comprise a wide range of individual and group interventions. An EAP is a customised counselling and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Program for the staff of participating organizations.With experience in private industry, the government sector and the emergency services, our expertise is in tailoring a program best suited to your company's particular needs. Our strength is in identifying areas that require intervention and implementing on-going, effective programs.

    EAP’s are funded by organizations at no cost to their staff. Staff members may contact us in confidence, or be referred by their organizations. Counselling and CISM are usually conducted off-site and, if convenient, outside work hours. EAP’s are valuable whenever there are critical incidents (accidents, natural disasters, serious misconduct etc.), performance issues, staff burnout, conflict and management difficulties. 

    EAP’s offer benefits to all parties:
