Our People

Harvey Abbott BA (Hons) Psychology and HRM; MPsych (Counselling)

Harvey has worked as a psychologist in a number of settings over the past fifteen years. He has developed an expertise in working with individuals, couples and families with often complex issues. His therapeutic work focuses on helping individuals manage life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict and addictions. He also has wide ranging experience in the areas of both vocational and psychological testing and providing medico-legal reports.

He is qualified Critical Incident Stress Management Trainer following the accredited Mitchell model of early intervention, and has extensive experience in the provision of interventions for conflict resolution and group debriefings following workplace incidents. He is registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) and is a Member of the APS (Australian Psychological Society).

Susan Ellis BSc Psych, MEd

Susan Ellis is a fully registered psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) and a member of the APS (Australian Psychological Society). Sue has 20 years experience counselling individuals and couples of all ages. She has expertise in issues of depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, relationships, stress, and transitional life stages. Sue specialises in child and adolescent mental health working from a systemic and developmental framework. Sue’s areas of interest areas include childhood anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, mood difficulties (e.g., depression), behavioural problems and learning difficulties. In addition, Sue has worked with adolescents for many years and assists young people in working on issues such as peer relationships, family problems, bullying, self-harm, confidence and identity formation.
